What is Artichoke Press?
In
addition to being the contact website for Judy
H. Wright, author, keynote and workshop speaker,
it also functions as a clearing house for other authors and
historians who write about getting to the heart of the story
in the journey of life. The artichoke is our logo because
it symbolizes the many layers that one must pull down in order
to get to the sweetest part, the heart. This gentle pulling
off the prickly points, doing the work that is necessary to
reach inside and find the treasure and then inviting others
to share in the wonder with us, is what sets Artichoke Press
apart.
You will find
a selection of books that deal with parenting, wellness, life
story writing and quality at end of life which can be ordered
from our secure website. Our goal is to host a "storyboard"
where participants may post a 100 word topical essay on a
specific subject free of charge. The stories will be
changed on a monthly basis and a new topic suggested.
There are a number of tele-classes (long distance learning)
being offered in the subject area of life story or memoir
